1. The Grand Ballroom: Where Elegance Meets Function

Your wedding reception is one of the most memorable parts of the day, and the Grand Ballroom at Chateau Joli provides the perfect space for hosting it! With its high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and sweeping views of the venue’s lush grounds, this space offers an air of luxury without feeling stuffy.

The ballroom can be transformed into whatever you envision—whether you want a formal seated dinner or a fun, dance-filled celebration. Plus, its open floor plan means there’s plenty of room for a full band or DJ, a beautiful cake display, and plenty of room for your guests to mingle and dance the night away.

Pro Tip: Use the grand chandeliers to set the mood for a romantic, sophisticated atmosphere or add colorful lighting to reflect your wedding theme!

Want a spot for more intimate moments or stunning wedding photos? Chateau Joli’s Secret Stairwell is one of the most unique spaces in the venue. This hidden gem offers a quiet, secluded spot to capture those emotional moments, like a first look or first touch before the ceremony.

The stairs create a dramatic backdrop for photos, and the architectural elements—like the rustic brick walls and vintage railing—add a touch of old-world charm. It’s also a fantastic location for couples who want a private moment away from the crowd while still having a gorgeous and intimate setting.

Pro Tip: The Secret Stairwell is also perfect for a quick moment with your bridal party before you walk down the aisle. It’s a great way to gather everyone for a pre-ceremony pep talk or group photo!

Why You Need to Hire a Wedding Videographer (and Yes, It’s Non-Negotiable!)

December 25, 2024 by admin

When planning your wedding, you’ve got a lot to think about: the dress, the flowers, the cake, and let’s be real—whether to go with the signature margarita or mojito (hint: both!). But here’s one decision that shouldn’t be up for debate: hiring a wedding videographer.

Sure, your photographer will capture stunning stills, but there’s something magical about reliving your wedding day in motion. Here’s why investing in a videographer is a must (and why you’ll thank yourself for it later).

1. Feel All the Feels (Again and Again)

Your wedding day goes by in a blur—one minute you’re sipping mimosas, the next you’re on the dance floor busting moves you didn’t know you had. A wedding video lets you relive the emotion, from the tear-filled vows to the moment your partner’s jaw dropped during the first look. Photos are amazing, but only a video can capture the tremble in your voice or your grandparents’ epic dance moves.

Videographer: Randi Michelle Photo + Film

2. Hear It, Don’t Just See It

A photo of your vows is sweet, but hearing them? Cue the tears. A videographer captures the sound of your partner’s heartfelt promises, the laughter during your best friend’s toast, and the cheers when you’re pronounced married. These are the moments you’ll want to replay—not just remember.

3. The Little Moments You Missed

No matter how hard you try, you can’t be everywhere at once on your wedding day. (Unless you’ve figured out cloning—if so, call us!) A videographer captures the stuff you didn’t get to see: your partner nervously fixing their tie, your flower girl twirling around, or your parents sharing a quiet moment during the reception.

Videographer: Kortney Boyett

4. It’s an Heirloom in Motion

Your wedding video isn’t just for you; it’s for your future selves, your kids, and maybe even your grandkids. Imagine popping it on 30 years from now to show your family how it all started—or just to laugh at the trends you thought were a good idea. It’s a living, breathing piece of your love story.

5. FOMO is Real

A wedding video is the ultimate cure for post-wedding FOMO. Whether you missed the look on your partner’s face when they first saw you or you were too busy mingling to catch the entire dance-off, your video lets you experience those moments

Videographer: Randi Michelle Photo + Film

A Few Words from the Newlyweds

When we asked Meghan and Brandon to share their favorite part of the day, they said: “It’s hard to pick my favorite part of the day because it was all so perfect and everything I had dreamed of. If I had to pick, it would be our private last dance before the grand exit. It was our time to have a moment as husband and wife with no one around to take everything in together.”

We feel honored to have been a part of this magical day and wish Meghan and Brandon a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and beautiful adventures.

Why You Need Both a Content Creator AND a Videographer at Your Wedding

December 17, 2024 by admin

Let’s be real—your wedding day is one of the most epic moments of your life. So, why settle for just one way to capture it? Sure, a traditional videographer has the expertise to create a beautiful film that captures your ceremony, vows, and speeches. But, have you considered adding a content creator into the mix? Here’s why having both is a game-changer, and how they can work together to give you a wedding day memory that’s not only beautiful, but also super shareable.

1. You’ll Get All the Highlights, Plus the Behind-the-Scenes Magic

A videographer focuses on creating a polished, cinematic wedding film—a keepsake you’ll cherish forever. But a content creator captures the in-between moments that often go unnoticed, like the candid laughter at the reception, your BFFs tearing up during your vows, or those hilarious behind-the-scenes moments as you get ready. It’s all about telling the full story of your day, from the “I do” to the fun after-party dance moves!

Pro Tip: Think of your videographer as the storyteller and your content creator as the social media manager, sharing fun clips and sneak peeks on the spot.

@theveilclub

you, me, & the sunset = home !!!!!!!!! #weddinginspo #weddingtiktok #weddingcontentcreator #contentcreators #2025bride #2026bride

2. You’ll Have Videos for Both You and Your Followers

Want a gorgeous wedding film for your family to treasure for years? Check. Want to share the magic with all your followers in real-time? Double-check. While your videographer is focusing on your high-quality wedding film, your content creator can be posting fun Instagram stories, reels, and TikToks, letting your friends and family get a peek at the celebration as it unfolds.

Pro Tip: Imagine a TikTok of your first dance that goes viral. That’s the power of having a content creator who knows how to capture share-worthy moments!

3. You Can Be in the Moment, and Still Get All the Content You Want

One of the best things about having a content creator is that they’re a social media expert—they know how to capture the most “grammable” moments while you’re living in the moment. They’re all about quick shots and those perfect, effortless clips that can be posted instantly. Meanwhile, your videographer is focused on the bigger picture, so you get a high-quality film without stressing about having to pause the fun for photos.

Pro Tip: With a content creator on hand, you won’t have to ask your guests for a thousand pictures. They’ll have the job covered.

4. The Best of Both Worlds

Your videographer brings that cinematic, documentary-style wedding video to life, with sweeping shots, slow motion, and carefully crafted edits. Your content creator, on the other hand, is all about the fast-paced, short-form videos, with tons of personality and energy. Between the two, you’ll get both the polished wedding video for the long haul and the short, bite-sized moments that capture your wedding’s vibe.

Pro Tip: A content creator can even create a highlight reel for you to share with guests the day after your wedding. Talk about instant gratification!

5. They’re Not Competing—They’re Complementing Each Other

The best part? A videographer and content creator can work together seamlessly! They each have their own focus and skill set, so there’s no overlap—just tons of complementary footage that shows off different aspects of your wedding day. The videographer captures your wedding with an artistic touch, while the content creator grabs the quick, fun clips that’ll be perfect for your social media.

Pro Tip: Be sure to chat with both before the big day to make sure they’re on the same page and working as a team. They’ll be your dynamic duo of wedding memories!

Bottom Line: Double the Memories, Double the Fun

Your wedding day is one of a kind, so why not have two professionals working to capture it in unique ways? Having both a videographer and a content creator lets you enjoy the best of both worlds—timeless, cinematic memories and tons of shareable, real-time content. It’s a winning combination that’ll let you relive the magic of your day for years to come, and your followers will thank you too. So, go ahead—let your videographer and content creator tag-team your wedding, and prepare to be wowed by all the amazing moments they’ll capture.

5 Fun Tips to Win Over Your Future In-Laws

December 13, 2024 by admin

Getting along with your future in-laws doesn’t have to feel like a job interview. With a little effort (and maybe some humor), you can create a strong bond and start married life on the right foot. Here’s how to charm their socks off:

1. Get Curious About Their Lives

Ask about their hobbies, favorite memories, or even that “famous family recipe.” Showing genuine interest in who they are makes them feel valued and starts great conversations. Bonus points if you nail their quirky sense of humor!

2. Appreciate Their Role in Your Partner’s Life

Give them a heartfelt shoutout for raising the amazing person you’re marrying. A simple “thank you for being such an important part of [Partner’s Name]’s life” can work wonders. (Pro tip: bring this up over dinner—it’s a crowd-pleaser.)

3. Master the Art of Thoughtful Gestures

Whether it’s bringing dessert to family dinner or sending a quick text to wish them a good day, small, thoughtful actions go a long way. It’s not about grand gestures; it’s about showing you care.

Bride and her mother-in-law sharing a heartfelt moment as they exchange a meaningful gift during the wedding celebration.

4. Build a One-on-One Connection

Take the initiative to reach out on your own! Call to say hi, invite them out for coffee, or share a funny meme you think they’d love. Creating your own bond shows you’re serious about being part of the family.

5. Be Patient and Stay True to Yourself

Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither are relationships. Be kind, patient, and, most importantly, yourself. They’ll appreciate your authenticity and come to love you for who you really are.

Building a solid relationship with your future in-laws doesn’t happen overnight, but with a little patience, kindness, and genuine effort, it’s totally doable. Remember, it’s all about showing respect, making connections, and letting your true self shine through. At the end of the day, you’re not just gaining new family members—you’re creating lasting bonds that will help strengthen your relationship with your partner. So go ahead, take a deep breath, and enjoy the journey of becoming a cherished part of their family!

1. Sustainability Is Sexy

Weddings are going green, and we’re not just talking about the floral arrangements. Couples are choosing eco-friendly everything—think recycled decor, digital RSVPs, and even plantable favors. Bonus points if your venue has solar panels or serves farm-to-table dishes!

Pro Tip: Donate leftover food to local shelters or go full eco-warrior with vintage rentals for that chic and sustainable vibe.

2. Micro Weddings, Major Luxury

Fewer guests, bigger splurges. That’s the vibe for 2025 micro weddings. With smaller guest lists, couples are going all out with gourmet menus, stunning floral arrangements, and over-the-top guest experiences. Who wouldn’t love a wedding that feels like an exclusive VIP event?

Pro Tip: Invest in a boutique venue or high-end catering to create an unforgettable, intimate celebration.

3. Bold Colors Are Back

Bye-bye neutrals, hello color! Couples are embracing vibrant hues like jewel tones, bright neons, and earthy terracotta. Whether it’s in the flowers, decor, or even the wedding attire, bold colors are here to make your big day pop.

Pro Tip: Add a splash of personality with unexpected accents like emerald napkins or a burnt-orange bouquet.

4. Guest Experiences That Wow

In 2025, it’s all about entertaining your guests. Forget boring seating charts; think wine tastings, live food stations, or DIY bouquet bars. Weddings are becoming immersive events that leave your friends and family talking for years.

Pro Tip: Choose an activity that reflects you as a couple, whether it’s a s’mores bar or a live caricature artist.

5. Outdoor Elegance

Outdoor weddings are leveling up with chic setups that embrace the great outdoors. Imagine garden ceremonies, beachside receptions, or starlit dinners with cozy lounge areas. Nature is your backdrop, and it’s stunning.

Pro Tip: Amp up the romance with string lights, greenery installations, and a dreamy tent to keep things classy (and weather-proof).

First Look, First Touch, or Traditional Aisle Moment: Which is Right for Your Wedding?

December 6, 2024 by admin

One of the most exciting and emotional parts of a wedding day is that first moment when the bride and groom see each other. But the question remains: should you have a first look, opt for a more intimate first touch, or stick to the traditional reveal at the altar? Here’s a look at each option, along with the pros and cons to help you decide which might be the best fit for your wedding day.

1. The First Look: A Private Reveal Before the Ceremony

A first look is when the couple shares a private, planned reveal before the ceremony, often in a scenic or sentimental spot. The first look has become a popular alternative to waiting until the altar, as it gives couples a chance to have a quiet moment together before the day’s festivities truly begin.

Pros:

  • Intimacy and Privacy: A first look allows couples to have a personal, intimate moment to soak in their feelings without a crowd watching. Many couples find it gives them a calm, emotional start to the day.
  • Eases Nerves: For many couples, seeing each other beforehand helps relieve pre-ceremony jitters, allowing them to feel more relaxed and present for the ceremony itself.
  • More Time for Photos: Having a first look frees up time for wedding portraits, giving you more flexibility in your timeline and ensuring you won’t miss cocktail hour.

Cons:

  • Less Traditional: Some couples feel that seeing each other before the ceremony breaks with the time-honored tradition of waiting for the moment at the altar.
  • Potentially Less Emotional: For some, the emotions of walking down the aisle can feel different if you’ve already seen each other. However, many couples still find the ceremony reveal special, even after a first look.

2. The First Touch: A Touching Alternative Without the Reveal

The first touch is a beautiful option for couples who want to share a private moment before the ceremony but still want to save the big reveal for the aisle. In a first touch, couples might stand back-to-back or hold hands around a door or wall, so they can talk, pray, or exchange letters without seeing each other.

Pros:

  • Emotional Connection Without the Reveal: A first touch lets couples connect and share a moment without sacrificing the traditional reveal at the ceremony.
  • Calming Moment: Many find it’s a comforting moment to calm nerves and feel connected to each other before the day begins.
  • Adds a Touch of Romance: Exchanging letters or vows during a first touch can add a deeply personal element to your wedding day, helping you feel even more grounded in your commitment.

Cons:

  • Requires Planning for Privacy: Finding the perfect spot for a first touch can require some logistical planning to ensure that the couple doesn’t accidentally see each other.
  • Limited Interaction: While a first touch allows for a shared moment, it doesn’t provide the same face-to-face interaction and emotional release that a first look might.

3. The Traditional Reveal at the Altar

The traditional moment of seeing each other for the first time as the bride walks down the aisle remains a beloved choice for many couples. The grandeur, anticipation, and timelessness of this moment hold a special place in wedding traditions.

Pros:

  • Traditional and Timeless: The traditional reveal at the altar is often considered one of the most iconic wedding moments, with generations of couples sharing in this custom.
  • Pure, Emotional Reactions: The anticipation builds throughout the ceremony, often leading to a powerful emotional reaction when the couple finally sees each other at the altar.
  • Builds Excitement for Guests: Many guests eagerly await the couple’s first look at each other, making it a highlight of the ceremony.

Cons:

  • More Nerves: Some couples feel extra nervous without a first look to ease their jitters. Waiting until the ceremony can amplify the excitement, but also the anxiety.
  • Less Time for Photos Pre-Ceremony: Skipping a first look means squeezing in all portraits after the ceremony, which can extend the time between the ceremony and reception or limit time with guests.

Which Option Is Right for You?

Ultimately, the decision depends on your personalities, preferences, and priorities for the day. Here are some questions to consider:

  • Do you want an intimate, private moment together before the ceremony? If so, a first look might be a great choice for you.
  • Do you want to save the reveal for the ceremony while still having a moment to connect? A first touch can give you both an emotional moment to ground yourselves before the ceremony.
  • Do you love the idea of waiting until the aisle to see each other for the first time? Sticking to the traditional reveal at the altar can provide that classic, cinematic moment that many couples treasure.

Each option brings something unique to the wedding experience, and there’s no right or wrong choice. It’s all about what feels authentic and meaningful to you as a couple. Whether you choose a first look, a first touch, or wait for that special moment at the altar, your wedding day will be beautiful, memorable, and filled with love.
